ZHO in Brief
With the aim of aligning and consolidating the efforts made in the field of People of Determination care, and as per the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan (may his soul rest in peace), H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed A​l Nahyan, President, issued, during his tenure as Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Law No. (2) dated April 19, 2004, establishing Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination (ZHO) in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, as an umbrella for all humanitarian bodies, social services, people of determination institutions and any future bodies established in Abu Dhabi for humanitarian goals. The Amiri decree No. (7), for the year 2014, has been issued, on 29/05/2014, forming a new Board of Directors for Zayed Higher Organization for People of Determination, chaired by H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

ZHO enjoys full financial and administrative independence and is run by its Board of Directors of 7 to 11 members. ZHO performs its activities as per the plans and directives of its Board to achieve its goals. The Board takes all necessary actions and measures to ensure ZHO’s efficient functioning. All ZHO’s humanitarian institutions are contributing to achieving the noble goals, showing a keen interest in this segment of society.

​نبذة عن المؤسّسة:
توحيداً للجهود المبذولة في مجال رعاية أصحاب الهمم وبأوامر من المغفور له صاحب السموّ الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان “رحمه الله”، أصدر صاحب السموّ الشيخ خليفة بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الدولة “حفظه الله” إبان توليه مسؤولية ولاية العهد بتاريخ 19 أبريل عام 2004 الموافق 29 صفر لعام 1425 هجرية القانون (2) بإنشاء مؤسّسة زايد العليا لأصحاب الهمم في إمارة أبوظبي ويضم إليها جميع مراكز ومؤسّسات دور الرعاية الإنسانيّة والخدمات الاجتماعية لأصحاب الهمم كما يضم إلى المؤسّسة كل ما ينشأ مستقبلاً من جهات في إمارة أبوظبي لتحقيق الأهداف الإنسانيّة. وقد صدر مرسوم أميري رقم (7) لسنة 2014 بإعادة تشكيل مجلس إدارة مؤسّسة زايد العليا لأصحاب الهمم برئاسة سموّ الشيخ خالد بن زايد آل نهيان.

وتتمتّع المؤسّسة بالاستقلال المالي والإداري الكامل ويدير المؤسّسة مجلس إدارة لا يزيد عدد أعضائه عن أحد عشر عضواً ولا يقل عن سبعة، وتمارس نشاطها وفقاً لما يقرره لها مجلس الإدارة لتحقيق أهدافها الكاملة ويتولى المجلس جميع الأعمال والتصرفات اللازمة لضمان قيام المؤسّسة بمهمتها، وهي تضم جميع مراكز ومؤسسات دور الرعاية الإنسانيّة لأصحاب الهمم لتحقيق الأهداف السامية، الأمر الذي يعكس اهتمامها الكبير بتلك الشريحة في المجتمع.​
